Welcome
We are a non-profit organization working to help people to be empowered with compassion and the skills to create it through the promotion of workshops and literature based on Nonviolent Communication, as developed by Marshall Rosenberg, Ph.D.
Our goal is to be a hub that connects people around B.C. who are wanting to participate in compassionate communication workshops with the opportunities to do so. We also help to promote community practice groups, as well as connect facilitators with one another for the purpose of both shared support and mentoring.
One of the ways we are fulfilling our goals is through our website. We invite you to explore our newly updated site, for example, under our articles tab you’ll find information about how compassionate communication is used internationally in schools, prisons, psychiatric units, hospitals, as well as with police, gangs, politicians, and communities in conflict. To our valued members: Please contribute your compassionate communication related articles, ideas, interviews and photos!
We would also love any feedback that you’re willing to offer. This will meet our needs for connection, sharing, support, learning, and inspiration. To visitors and members alike, we sincerely hope that you feel at home here and look forward to supporting you in your goals for learning and potentially in sharing, the principles of compassionate communication!
Warm regards,
BCNCC Board of Directors
