VICTORIA - Empathy Wednesdays - new
Experience, learn, deepen or sharpen Empathy Skills with Renee Lindstrom. NVC Empathy is more than reflective listening, eye contact and tone of voice. It is being in a place of listening with no judgement, opinions or suggestions. Come and explore some simple techniques to increase your empathy awareness based upon Nonviolent Communication experiencing.

Conscious Communication 8 week course
This is an 8 week Introductory course based on Marshall Rosenbergs Nonviolent Communication. In the course we will be looking at ways to express yourself nonviolently when conflict situations arise, as well as how to diffuse hostility and create connection through compassionate listening.
The course will be taught by Laurel Collins and Brandon Tallman. It will run for 8 weeks starting on April 12 and ending May 31, from 7-9pm.
The cost for the course is sliding scale $80-$240
It will be held at the New Horizons center in James Bay 230 Menzies St

Conscious Communication Weekend Workshop
This is an introductory weekend workshop based on Marshall Rosenbergs Nonviolent Communication. We will be covering in detail ways to express yourself nonviolently when conflict arises, as well as how to diffuse hostility and create connection through listening with a compassionate intention.
It will be taught by Laurel Collins and Brandon Tallman and held at 941 Kings Rd (beside cafe Fantastico, and around the back of the building).
Friday night will run from 7-9:30 and is by donation. Saturday and Sunday we will begin at 10am and finish at 5pm both days.
The cost for Saturday and Sunday is sliding scale $80-$240

On Wednesday Nights in April the Church of Truth for Conscious Living in James Bay will be hosting some members of the Nonviolent Communication Community for their ongoing program called, “Oneness Wednesdays.” Spanning the month of April this inspired the seeds to create an Awareness Campaign for nurturing the knowledge that, “Nonviolent Communication Works!”
Vision: The goal is to remind, renew and invigorate the roots of those who have participated in earlier study and practice and encourage new shoots as we enter into spring.
